What happens at Transfer Days?

Step 1: Park in the Bone Student Center Parking Lot and check in at the Prarie Room of the Bone Student Center

Obtain your Course Catalog, registration materials, free parking pass and schedule of today’s events. Check-in will open at 7:30a.m. and close at 4:00p.m.

Step 2: Academic Information Sessions

Prior to your advisement appointment, receive valuable information regarding your catalog, graduation requirements, and other important course registration information. Sessions are available at the following times:

  • 9:00-9:45 am
  • 10:00-10:45am
  • 12:00 - 12:45 pm
  • 1:00-1:45 pm

Note: If your advisement appointment is prior to the start of the first Academic Information Session begin, please plan on attending a session after your appointment. Also, if your advisement appointment is after the last session, please allow sufficient time before your appointment to attend one of the earlier sessions. More information regarding specific room locations will provided during check-in.

Step 3: Academic Advising Appointment

Upon checking in, you will receive information that contains the location and time of your appointment. Please allow yourself at least 15 minutes to walk to your appointment.

Step 4: "Dollars and $ense"

Attend this session to learn about your financial responsibilities at Illinois State. “Dollars and $ense” is offered at 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m.

Step 5: "IF" - Information Fair

“IF” you have questions, the Information Fair will be located in the Prairie Room of the Bone Student Center and will run from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. During “IF”, campus representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide information that will assist in the transition to Illinois State University.You will receive a handout of offices present at “IF” during check-in.

Step 6: Campus Tour (optional)

Enjoy a student –led guided walking tour of campus leaving from the check-in area of the Prairie Room, Bone Student Center at 10:00am and 2:00pm.

Step 7: Obtain Student ID from Redbird Card Office in Bone Student Center

Important: This may be done only after class registration is complete and a driver’s license must be shown.
