What happens at Preview?
Before Preview
Make sure you have reviewed all of the information on this web site including Math Placement Requirements, Program Fees, Where to Check-In and where to park.
During Preview, students:
- Meet academic advisors.
- Receive undergraduate catalogs.
- Register for fall semester classes.
- Activate e-mail account.
- Receive Redbird ID cards.
- Meet other students.
- Experience campus living by staying overnight in a residence hall.
- Meet representatives of campus services and programs.
- Discover educational, social, and cultural activities.
During Preview, family members and guests:
- Receive additional information about the University and its resources through a series of special sessions.
- Gain insight into the adjustments students and families will face during the next few years.
- Become better acquainted with the campus and university personnel.
Alcohol and Drug Policy
Warning! Alcohol, drugs, and/or inappropriate behavior are not tolerated during Preview. Students who violate this policy and students who are present when violations occur risk dismissal from Illinois State University.
Freshman Donation Project
This year, Illinois State will be taking part in a freshman donation project to help support the elementary and junior high school students in the Bloomington-Normal community.
