Preview (June 5 - July 18) is Illinois State University’s two-day summer orientation and registration program required for all incoming freshmen.
Preview is designed to assist you in adjusting to your new environment at Illinois State.
What is Preview?
While attending Preview, students will have the opportunity to meet with their academic advisor, register for classes, meet current Illinois State students and their future classmates, interact with faculty and staff from various academic departments, and receive their Redbird ID card.
In addition, students will have the chance to discover the various opportunities provided at Illinois State including involvement in student organizations, volunteer opportunities, support services, and many other aspects of being a Redbird.
Freshman Donation Project
This year, Illinois State will be taking part in a freshman donation project to help support the elementary and junior high school students in the Bloomington-Normal community.
