Greek Success

The Julia N. Visor Academic Center provides various levels of academic support to Illinois State Fraternities and Sororities. The following chart demonstrates the many levels of academic support provided by the Visor Center:

1. SHARING Academic Support Information:
   • Visor Center Study Skills Workshops
   • Visor Center Tutoring and Writing Assistance services
2. Study Skill WORKSHOPS for your chapter
   • The Visor Center can provide a specialized academic workshop exclusively for your membership. Topics could include any of the workshops on the Visor Center Workshop handout. Workshops must be scheduled in advance and will be held in Vrooman.
3. Scholarship Chair Personalized CONSULTING
   • Need help developing academic scholarship programming for your chapter? The staff at the Visor Center can meet with you one on one to discuss the specific needs of your chapter and brainstorm new ideas to enhance your existing academic programming.
4. Scholarship Chair TOOLBOX
   • Provided exclusively for Greek Chapters, the Visor Center will provide a toolbox of academic support resources. The toolbox includes exercises, handouts, programming ideas and resources for you to share with your members.
5. Academic GOAL SETTING Package
   • The Visor Center can provide you with a packet of Goal setting resources for you to deliver to your chapter members. The package would include an initial goal setting workshop and a mid-semester follow up complete with power points, handouts and goal plans/review worksheets.
6. Study Hour Space
   • For a limited number of chapters, the Visor Center is able to provide space for your chapters proctored study hours.
7. GREEK SUCCESS
   • For a limited number of chapters, the Visor center could facilitate an academic support program for your individual chapter. This program could include academic goal setting workshops, team study groups and more!!
