Degree Requirements
Degree Requirements (also available in pdf format) can be found in your catalog. Here are the requirements at a glance:
- 120 credit hours earned
- Must have a declared major
- 42 senior college hours (200 level or above)
- General Education requirements must be met by one of the following ways:
- Illinois State’s General Education Program
- Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) for transfer students
- Baccalaureate-oriented Associates degree (A.A. or A.S.)
- Global Studies course
- GPA – 2.0 or higher (some programs require a higher GPA)
- B.A/B.S. Requirements
- B.A. – Completion of a foreign language at the LAN 115 level
- B.S. – Extra Science, Math or Technology course beyond the General Education requirement
- College of Arts and Sciences foreign language requirement
- No Incompletes
- Residence requirement – unless otherwise specified in a program – 30 of the last 60 hours must be earned at Illinois State University
